🔬 For our Speed Skating BC INNOVATOR Award in 2024, The @kamloopslongblades were awarded the club INNOVATOR Award for their SWIFT (Speed Skating with International Friends Together) program. The program brings together new Canadians to the rink and teach them how to speed skate. In doing so, the club creates opportunities for kids and their families to make new friends and become part of the community through sport.

Desiree Lillico from the @@fsj_elks_speedskating was recognized for her time and dedication to skaters of all ages, but in particular young club skaters. Desiree's creation of a winter wonderland, theme animals, and stickers/colouring was a hit among the participants at BC Long Track and FUNale!
