Skaters participating in the TEAM BC ST Selection Trials this weekend in Prince George are reminded to register for the TEAM BC ST Relay Camp (held the Monday following the Selection Trials). Attention club presidents, coaches and registrars: This is the time of the year again for all clubs to fill out their BCSSA Coaching Report. Completing the ReportÂ is essential for the Coaching Development Committee to report numbers and receive funding to help support our BC skaters. The TEAM BC Selection Committee (for Canada Winter Games 2015) has prepared version 2.0 of the TEAM BC Selection Bulletin. Please note that any changes from version 1.0 are noted in red font throughout the Bulletin. On pages 6-7 of the Bulletin, there is a list of skaters who have qualified to participate in the TEAM BC ST Selection Trials. These skaters have achieved the mandatory time standards under the required conditions (as detailed in the Bulletin).
Any errors, omissions or questions regarding the published list should be directed to the TEAM BC Selection Committee, care of Chris Acton (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to 11:59pm on Saturday October 25th.
The third (of three) ADC Bulletins, regarding skater selection to the 2015-2016 Provincial Performance Program, has now been released. Please note that there are significant changes to the qualification method as compared to previous seasons. Any questions should be directed to ADC (email@example.com).
BCSSA would like to congratulate BC skater Courtney Shmyr, who has qualified to represent Canada at the first two ISU Short Track World Cup competitions! Courtney will be travelling with the team to Salt Lake City (November 7-9) and Montreal (November 14-16).
Courtney, a native of Langley, has been training at the Calgary Olympic Oval since 2009. She has previously represented Canada at the World Junior Championships and is a member of the Speed Skating Canada Development Team.

Information about the Western Canadian Single Distance Short Track Championship at the Richmond Oval (Nov 15 & 16) has been posted on the BCSSA Events & Results Calendar. Skaters will register on-lineÂ for this event.Â Age and time standards apply.Â T2T 13s wishing to register must contact Dave Morrison at the Oval to arrange an age exemption.
