The BCSSA Coaching Development Committee is seeking qualified personnel to represent Team BCSSA at select ST and LT competitions throughout the 2016-2017 season. Please see the attached memo for more information. Note the application deadline of November 6th, 2016.
The Richmond Olympic Oval is hosting an Equipment Performance Seminar Saturday September 24th 12:00pm-2:00pm in room 2029B (main activity level) There is no cost to attend.
The seminar will cover the following:
Â· How rocker and bend work together to make a skater fast
Â· How to measure bend and rocker with a gauge
Â· Working with a bender
Â· Understanding the impact of equipment on performance from boots to blades
Â· Understanding how a rockering machine works
Â· Hands-on opportunities and sample blades provided
Great opportunity if you are from the Lower Mainland or near Richmond this weekend!
TheÂ 2016-2017 Athlete Development Committee Bulletin #3.0, which describes the process for skater qualification to the 2017-2018 Provincial Performance Program (PPP), has been released. Please carefully review the Bulletin, as the process for qualification has undergone significant changes as compared to previous seasons.
