It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Blokker, of the Vernon Vortex Speed Skating Club. Peter was well known to skaters across the province, as an active competitor, coach and administrator. Peter was a founding member of the Vernon club in 1992.

BCSSA will have a condolences card for Peter’s family available for signing at the upcoming BC Long Track Championships. The Vernon club is hosting the Interior FUNale on February 10th and will have a moment of silence to remember Peter and his great contributions to the sport of speed skating in BC.

Please carefully review the registration information for upcoming competitions!
